Hi there! Lately, we have been using recyclables a lot in our art center. So for the following activity we made waving flags from toilet paper rolls. It`s a pretty simple craft to make and is great for little hands. For advanced preparation, I cut out the flag so that we can focus on decorating our flags before gluing them on. Another reason I pre-cut the flag shapes is because we were working with our toddler and I usually avoid scissors with the little one around. But you can always allow your child to cut out their own shapes at your own discretion. Flags
can be used to celebrate holidays and traditional days. Other materials
such as felt/fabric can also be used for the flag. This art activity is great for the upcoming spring weather.
